The Federal Criminal Economic Court rejected the attempt by the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and its president, Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia, to overturn the decision that declared their appeal in the case abandoned. The association and the executive are being prosecuted, with 350 million pesos in assets frozen, for the alleged misappropriation of tax and social security contributions related to Argentine football clubs.
