infobae.com Fuel is rapidly becoming one of Bolivia's scarcest commodities. Long lines of vehicles snake for several kilometers outside gas stations all over Bolivia, once South America's second-largest producer of natural gas. Some of the queues don't budge for days. The latest five massacres in the Ecuadorian province of Orellana, near the border with the department of Putumayo, have been attributed to disputes between the Comandos de la Frontera, the Colombian armed group with a seat at the negotiating tables of the Petro government, and Los Choneros, the Ecuadorian criminal gang with roots in the Sinaloa cartel. The war between the two armed groups, which control the income from drug trafficking and illegal mining in that area of the Amazon, has worsened since last July, when a truce between the two actors was broken. Minutes later he deletes the message, so as not to leave any trace of his words.
