The political assassination of the candidate for the Presidency of Ecuador Fernando Villavicencio, is not an isolated event nor is it far from the political struggle.

It is obvious that, due to the seriousness and seriousness of this dramatic event, everyone hopes to have real results from the investigation that will surely be done to give their opinion and find those responsible.

However, crime has managed to co-opt politics through criminal organizations enthroned in different governments of the region and some of the old continent.

The so-called Socialism of the 21st Century is the first suspect. The political-criminal satellites linked to drug trafficking of this supposed political movement have shown many times in recent years their direct relationship with crime and crime.

The political assassination of Fernando Villavicencio, a dramatic and unacceptable fact, must be taken more than as a threat, as a challenge to get the international and national community to stop the hypocrisy of "political correctness" and once and for all take sides to defend freedom, justice and democracy. The challenge is to definitively close the space of political power that these narco-criminals have or claim to have, camouflaging themselves in a discourse of change in favor of the poorest in the region. However, from what has been seen in the Plurinational State of Bolivia, in Colombia, Ecuador of the government of former President Correa, Venezuela, Nicaragua, the experience of former President Castillo in Peru, Mexico and Argentina, these societies have some or all of these characteristics as a common denominator, corruption, increased poverty, increased drug trafficking, increased impunity and growing citizen insecurity.

To the family of Fernando Villavicencio my respect and the greatest feeling of solidarity. His family, in the midst of this deep and irreparable sadness, should feel proud because Mr. Villavicencio decided to fight against the essence of evil that persecutes us in the Region. Drug trafficking driving the politics of our countries through the Castro Chavismo of the 21st century.
