In a medical emergency controlling the symptoms or damage to the body are most urgent, but the problem does not get solved without focusing on the important, or stopping the causes. For over 66 years the solution of the causes has not been applied to Cuba’s dictatorship who has used all of those years promoting, organizing, and executing attacks against the United States and all nations of the Americas, and today -as part of these criminal actions- is becoming the launching base for the expansion and aggression of dictatorships from Iran, China, Russia, and more.

With anti-imperialism as its narrative, Cuba’s dictatorship has justified the commission, promotion, and coverup of the greatest crimes against its own people, against the peoples of the Americas, and specially against the United States. It is no longer just executions by firing squads, political persecutions, torture, imprisonment, now its actions have gone beyond that and include -amongst other crimes- invasions, creation of guerrillas, terrorist groups, armed participation, and the proclamation that becoming a narco-State, practicing narcotics’ trafficking, and institutionalizing “State-terrorism as a way to wield power” are just instruments of warfare in the fight against imperialism.

One of the most noteworthy events was the “Missile Crisis” of October of 1962 whose resolution -it would seem- had determined the permanence of Cuba’s dictatorship. From then on, the Cuban regime kept aligned with and acted as a member of, the communist bloc of the Cold War and survived until the fall of the Berlin Wall, the dissolution of the Soviet Union, the creation of the Forum of Sao Paolo, and the arrival of Hugo Chavez.

Ever since 1959 up to now, there is not a guerrilla, subversive group, terrorist organization, anti-democratic movement, or any operation labeled anti-imperialist, kidnapping, criminal action, coup d’etat against democratic governments, or any process of destabilization, creation of a narco-State, physical assassination, or assassination of reputations with social and political consequences that was not crafted , controlled, executed, or protected by the long arm of the Cuban dictatorship.

The criminal actions of Cuba’s dictatorship include its involvement and participation in the take-over of power by way of direct actions or through manipulated electoral mechanisms to have control of countries and governments who, with the so-called “21st Century Socialism” along with subordinated democratic governments or “para-dictatorial” governments in Mexico with Lopez Obrador/Sheinbaum, Brazil with Lula, Colombia with Petro, Chile with Boric, and Honduras with Castro, have allowed to expand its model of dictatorship/narco-State into Venezuela, Nicaragua, and Bolivia.

As demonstrated by academicians, journalists, activists, politically exiled, and citizens in general, the seriousness, constant, and persistent attacks against all countries and peoples from the region is overwhelming. There is not one country in the Americas that has not been victimized by, or is a victim of, Cuba’s dictatorship.

The problem is that after 66 years of constant criminality perpetrated by Cuba’s dictatorship against human rights, against humanity, against the peoples’ sovereignty, and the security of the States, the situation now takes a turn for the worse. Having subjected Cubans to an extreme situation of misery, dependency, and slavery, the regime is turning -if not already done so- Cuba into a base for the dictatorships from Iran, China, Russia, and more.

It is vastly known that the alliance between Cuba and Iran includes the latter’s penetration into Cuba’s satellites in Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Venezuela. Iranian operations in the region have been going on for almost two decades and have now been made public through the signing of military treaties -under Cuban direction- by Nicaragua, Bolivia, and Venezuela with Iran. In January of this year, Cubans have celebrated the so-called “19th Commission of Economic Cooperation between Cuba and Iran” with the visit of the Cuban dictator to the theocratic dictator in Teheran.

Regarding China, their anti-democratic and anti-United States operations could not be any clearer if we only focus on “the growing expansion of espionage bases of the Chinese regime in Cuba.” Infobae reported in July of 2024 “having analyzed several years’ worth of satellite imagery, Cuba -these past few years- has significantly improved and expanded its electronic espionage facilities identified at four sites as; Bejucal, El Salao, Wajay, and Calabazar.”

In the invasion of Russia to Ukraine, Cuba’s dictatorship is a direct participant as over 20,000 Cuban soldiers serve as part of the invading Russian force. As of 6 May of 2025, Ukraine published a list of Cubans serving with the Russian army, and having “verified that 1,028 Cubans signed contracts with Russia.” On 15 May of 2025, Swissinfo.ch reported that “with the backing and support of the Cuban government to Russia, up to 20,000 Cubans have been recruited by Russia of whom between 200 and 300 have died in the war against Ukraine.”
