I try to understand the intolerant aggressiveness of the president of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO), a foolish politician who wants to restore Pedro Castillo Terrones to power, despite the fact that he attempted a coup d"état and is involved in numerous acts of corruption.

To channel this objective, which implies a flagrant violation of the principle of Non-Intervention in the sovereign affairs of other nations, AMLO has mobilized the Chavista bloc, even achieving that the Cuban president Miguel Díaz-Canal, representative of a 63-year-old dictatorship in power, denounce the "harassment" against left-wing politicians by "imperialism and its allies" in tacit reference to Castillo and Cristina Kirchner. And, furthermore, he has the backing of a mythomaniac, the head of state of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, who has not hesitated to denounce "the arrest without a judge and without defense of a popularly elected president," in reference to Castillo.

It occurs to me, however, that with this campaign AMLO is trying to establish himself as the maximum leader of the left-wing regimes in the hemisphere, because Evo Morales and Nicolás Maduro, who at the time were the standard bearers, are discredited and in political agony.

The purpose would also be to divert the attention of Mexicans from his disastrous mandate. Since AMLO took office in 2018, to date, 187,167 Mexicans have been murdered, a historical record; in the last legislative elections, 100 political homicides were committed; Migration to the United States has increased to 400,000 people in 2022, because the government has not been able to control the mafias that control this human trafficking, which often causes deaths by suffocation of humble people transported in closed trucks.

During his administration, drug trafficking has skyrocketed and drug cartels control 35% of the country.

To what has been said, let us add corruption. Of the 20,000 complaints filed with the Prosecutor"s Office, only 4.5% reach the courts and of that percentage, 0.2% are sentenced.

López Obrador, therefore, should worry about addressing the many problems that plague his country, including the exacerbation of poverty that, according to ECLAC, escalates to 55.6 million, instead of damaging diplomatic relations with a Peru that is fighting against terrorists and vandals who take over highways, murder, and set fire to public and private premises, with the purpose of returning Pedro Castillo to government; that is to say, with the same objective that animates the Mexican president.
