Sean Connery: farewell to authenticity

Long gone are the days when transparency, talent and truth paved the way to success. The resulting reality is polarization beyond reason; the reward of social climbing and the reign of confusion, fear and mistrust. Definitely not the best environment for one of the most integral persons in this world.

The sexiest man on earth has decided to join his friend Cary Grant in conquering new and fresher dimensions than those threaded by mortals.

His life is a source of inspirations to all those who still believe in the regenerating abilities of a human beings. Raised in a poverty ridden environment Sir Sean rose to become a Knight of the British Empire and a benefactor to his country: Scotland whose ensigns he wore to his death. Au lieu of burning flags and promoting looting Connery created a foundation to open access to education to children of low income families in Scotland. Instead of supporting polarization he brought Scotland together behind the cause of reinstating parliament which had been suspended for three centuries. As a result the Scots are today a much more vibrant and future oriented nation.

As an actor he was an innovator casting himself in roles that shattered frozen images tied to his James Bond years. And while not always the public reacted enthusiastically to his search for the soil of acting, the profession was greatly enriched with good insights into its future. And through all these he was the most authentic human being ever to live. He discarded celebrity life in favor of the most rewarding family and close friends loops. As a passionate golfer he savored the feeling of being close to nature. Authenticity would thus be his differentiating attribute. And because of this he probably decided that is was a good time to leave a world were everything seems to be fake: news; bags; jewelry and worse ……claims to power. Long gone are the days when transparency, talent and truth paved the way to success. The resulting reality is polarization beyond reason; the reward of social climbing and the reign of confusion, fear and mistrust. Definitely not the best environment for one of the most integral persons in this world.
