The book was presented by Cuban journalist Pedro Corso, President of the Instituto de la Memoria Histórica Cubana (Cuban Remembrance Institute). Also in attendance to express their acknowledgment and praise were Dr. Pablo Chao, Director of the Koubek Center, and Dr. Carlos Sánchez Berzaín.

The author gave an engaging account of the motivations that led him to write the book and of what he hopes will be its purpose.
